The project EUNOIA in collaboration with the partner of the Barcelona City Hall organized on November 26, 2013 an event in order to expose the progress achieved in EUNOIA.
EUNOIA was presented during a session on European projects on smart cities organised by the Madrid City Council on 19 June 2013:
Preliminary results of the EUNOIA work on mobile phone data and urban mobility were presented at the NECTAR conference at the Azores.
Maxi San Miguel (IFISC) and Ricardo Herranz (Nommon) participated in the Second GSS Conference held in Brussels on 10-12 June 2013. The results of the workshop on Global Systems Science and Urban Development organised by EUNOIA in February 2013 were presented and discussed with researchers and practitioners from all over the world, in order to provide inputs to the GSS research program:
Miguel Picornell (Nommon) and Antonio Lucio presented EUNOIA at the IV Forum CiViNET España-Portugal on 23-24 May 2013 in Santander. The event was inaugurated by the Mayor of Santander and gathered different representatives from CiViNET and from the Spanish Network of Smart Cities (RECI).
Nommon presents the project EUNOIA in the Innovation Center of Madrid, an organization associated to Madrid local authority. More information (in Spanish) in this link.
Global Systems Science (GSS) addresses the increasingly global and interconnected nature of human relations including the pervasive presence of ICT. In particular, the aim of the forum is to analyze the major scientific challenges associated to urban development from a GSS perspective. The workshop will provide inputs for outlining a research agenda in the area and will be reflected into an Orientation Paper for GSS research in Horizon 2020.
On 8-10 November, several representatives of the EUNOIA Consortium will participate at the First Open Global Systems Conference, organised by the FP7 Coordination Action Global System Dynamics and Policy. EUNOIA participated in the two parallel sessions about City Systems and Global System Science, with the aim to contribute to the development of a research program for the study of urban dynamics and its role in the transformation of our society and environment.
On 10-11 October 2012, the members of the EUNOIA Consortium met at the IFISC facilities in Palma de Mallorca to hold the project kick off meeting. The project work plan was reviewed, and the scientific/technical approach for the different work packages was discussed in detail.
